Off to the races!
You. Guys.
Drumroll.
The Favorable Company is I N C O R P O R A T E D.
We are officially a Delaware C Corp ready to START UP.
Thank you for your patience and for bearing with me as I pushed through the guidance at the Founder Institute to ensure the right Execution to create this company. Done.
I am shy of temperament and reticent to speak when the chips are up in the air. Perfectionists etc. Last time I buckled down to ensure achieving a target, I produced a research and thesis for an open call for expert contributions with Unesco-MOST through the prism of Neuroscience - the parameters were:
Catalyse positive change in society X with the support of Unesco X the takeaways from my Neuroscience studies I wish everyone knew to feel empowered X as we face planetary existential threats.
The major existential threat of course being the state and stakes of the climate crisis.
The resulting piece was published in the new Unesco-backed HAS Magazine and platform - for Humanities, Arts, and Society - this past January 2021. I was honoured and humbled to be selected as one of the voices to support the theme of HOPE. Here.
You can take the girl out of the City, but you can’t take the City out of the girl.
The team at the Founder Institute is Bomb.
The support and guidance provided through the program, the sessions, and individually, is incomparable.
Minimum Viable Company - Yes! At last!
In true New Yorker Fashion I’ve guided this project with conviction in the context of an industry with outdated practices set firmly against common sense - a renegade rhythm and calendar completely untethered from actual terrestrial seasons, artificial bells and whistles to trigger buying frenzies. Consumers consumed.
No affliction here nonetheless, our common humanity is concertedly eager to do good work.
Enter The Favorable Company, the recommendation engine guiding consumers to their favorite choice, and guiding brands to their best sustainable production practices through clean Data Analytics and Insights.
Watch this space. We have many, many goodies aligned with a loaded program, making dreams come true
Trend, Set, and Match.
On April 12, I chose to share with you what I thought was one of the most random Style Anecdotes I have in store (many more where that came from), about the epoch when Jeans went from Bell to Skinny.
On April 27, Business of Fashion did it too.
Stick around if you care to be on trend or ahead of it.
FAVORABLE FASHION FUTURE
Our New and Official Name is FAVORABLE, #favorable.
On bridging the gap between Fashion’s Sustainability Initiatives, and the real requirements to address the Climate Crisis and redress course at scale; including here in our favorite finds of the week this interesting conversation on Transparency and Fashion’s “Bad Data”, from the Business of Fashion’s Professional Summit:
“Closing Fashion’s Sustainability Gap, Linda E. Greer, a global fellow at the Institute of Public and Environmental Affairs and a member of BoF's Sustainability Council, joined BoF London editor Sarah Kent for a discussion on how fashion’s bad data is affecting its sustainability efforts.”

On a personal note
For myriad reasons, Incorporating has symbolically, personally, been a very big deal. Perhaps someday I will have the chance to tell you why. Surely a few fellow entrepreneurs out there may relate. Incredibly grateful to have been taken through this process with the guidance of the Founder Institute, the excellent team of program directors, and the support of my family. Thank you.
Wishing everyone a wonderful week ahead,
Isis
